Brass

Brass

Brass is used in many places and in precision mechanics, electrical engineering, and in the production of other various metal products. The advantages of brass include good machinability, corrosion resistance, neatness and good conductivity. Its strength is not very high, however, still quite sufficient for many applications. When marked, brass behaves very much like copper, but thanks to zinc, the heat absorption is slightly higher and, therefore, it is not required to deliver the material so much energy. When used in jewellery design, it is also possible to use different heat options of laser opacification of the material and to colour the surface in many different shades.
